Maybe the protagonist is a real person. Maybe what we choose as protagonist is just an excuse to tell our story. A pawn, as I said before. A tool to get to an end. Tell me a story… This is what we say and what we hear. “Once upon a time there was a King” or, as we well know, “Once upon a time there was a piece of wood”… But if we put Pinocchio in the middle, then we still cannot claim that the story is the protagonist, because it is Pinocchio who created his story. …but the story is of the character!
